Happy birthday to me (yesterday)! I celebrated my 29th birthday for the first time… I’ll probably celebrate a few more times over the next several years 🙂
Rafa and I had a lovely evening at home, watching the snow fall. And fall. And fall. He made me a delicious dinner:
He called this amazingness “cacahuete gai pan.” Cacahuete is peanut in Spanish and gai pan in chicken in Chinese. He served this delicious fusion dish on starfruit with a side of mixed veggies and orange-raisin rice. Check out the beautiful plating! He served his creation with a nice pino grigio that complimented the sweet undertones of the dish. All I can say is… wow. It was delish!
Who needs to go out when you’ve got this at home? (Rhetorical question.) I loved it. This year, more than any other time in my adult life, I just feel so content. It’s hard to describe. God has just blessed me with the peace that comes from knowing that I am in the center of His will for my life. I feel full, happy. I feel complete.
