Rafa and I are having a sad “first” in our marriage tonight – our first night apart. We won’t see each other until Friday! (That’s five long, lonely nights if you’re counting.) He’s already been gone for three hours and I miss him. Go ahead, insert eye roll and groan here, but  miss him!

I love thinking about how we’ve grown together in the little more than four months that we’ve been married. Even though we have to be in two different places, we are still one spirit.

“But at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.’ ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two, but one.”
Mark 10:6-8 (NIV)

So, even though I will be missing him, I am so proud of him. Rafa works so hard at his job.

Here he is at work, packing up on Friday afternoon. Even though I will be missing him this week (anyone see a theme here?), I’m excited for him and this opportunity. He’s in Chicago to art direct a photo shoot for stuff you’ll see in our company’s stores and marketing this fall.

Knock ’em dead, babe!
